First half goals from James Stainsby, Matt Sparrow and Dan Dougill gave Rangers a lead that a second half strike from the home side couldn't overcome.

It was a cold night over the border but the travelling Deeping contingent were happy with the start their side made. The scoring rapid with three strikes before the 40th minute leaving an easier half time team talk for Brett Whaley.

Seb Hayes in the opposite dressing room had a harder time raising his players for the second half, but they did come out better and pulled a goal back before the hour.

But it wasn't enough and Deeping move on to the next round.
