***UPDATE MATCH POSTPONED DUE TO SLEAFORD FA CUP REPLAY***
The Greens were founded in 1923, almost 100 years ago, and you could definitely say that generally, they have been quite successful during their history!
Sleaford play their games at Elsaforde Park, and have been playing there for the past 16 years! It has a capacity of 1,000 people.
It is fair to say the ground has seen some brilliant performances over the years! Runners up in the UCL Div One, first qualifying round in the FA Cup (club record) and reaching the 4th round of the FA Vase would only be mentioning a few!
Last season for the Greens was one to remember, finishing 6th in the UCL accumulating 53 points 3 places in front of the Rangers. The star for the Town last season had to be Ryan Lennon who netted 13 times for the Greens over the course of the season. He joined Deeping during the summer after Rangers front man Tom Waumsley went the opposite direction in April.
This season has so far been a disappointing few games for Sleaford, they they have won just 2 out of the 5 games they have played with a 4-0 win against Pinchbeck Utd and a 4-1 win against Raunds Town FC. The Greens will also be thinking about possible cup success in coming weeks with an FA Cup Extra-Preliminary round against Wellingborough Town on August 3rd. They will undoubtedly be the favourites on paper against the Rangers. However, Johnny Alflatt will be hoping his side can produce an upset!
