With most local games called off Deeping reserves managed to get their game going as for the 2nd time in a week they welcomed Stamford Belvedere. Their local rivals who had previously beaten then 3-2 in the league and 2-0 in the cup.
Bels started the game well and within 10 minutes they had the lead, a great ball through one on one with the keeper who managed to get a glove to it but not enough to keep it out.
20 minutes later and Deeping were level. A good passage of play allowed Deeping into the box before a side foot finish.
A few minutes later and a controversial red card from the referee as Deeping were down to 10 men.
Bels took advantage of the extra man almost immediately a great shot from just outside the box off the underside of the bar and in. Deeping then reacted well scoring 2 quick fire goals before half time a great ball over the keeper to level and a tap in from a cross to lead at half time.
Half time Deeping 3-2 Standard Bels
The red card didn't seem to impact the home side as early in the 2nd half they got a 4th from a great 25 yard shot, albeit via slight deflection off a defender on the way in.
Mid way through the half and Deeping added another great work by the winger who squared it in the box for a tap in. Bels then got one back with 10 minutes to go a good into the box which was missed by the keeper into the goal. Bels then pressed on looking for another but were caught on the counter by Deeping with a good ball through the defence and finished expertly past the keeper to finish the game off with their 6th and final goal.

Massive credit to Deeping who played over 50 minutes with 10 men who visit Leverington Sports next.
Also a special mention to the Deeping staff and volunteers who worked hard to get the game on.
