After a couple of games were cancelled thanks to the weather, Deeping U18s finally were able to play a home game as they hosted Wisbech U18s in the league.
Wisbech started the brightest with a couple of early chances one flashing just wide of the goal and one crashing off the crossbar. Despite that good start it was Deeping who took the lead a shot inside the box bouncing over the keepers outstretched arm. The two rivals traded possession for the rest of the half with no real chances of note.
Half time: Deeping 1-0 Wisbech
The 2nd half started similar to the way the 1st ended not many chances apart from the odd off target shot.
In the 75th minute Wisbech got their equaliser a great ball through the Deeping defence allowed there attacker to latch onto the ball and fire it past the oncoming Deeping keeper.
10 minutes later a good cross from the visiting winger into the box and a good turn in the box from the forward who then powered the ball into the top right-hand corner. Deeping looked rather stunned and tried to get back into the game but ran out of time as the final whistle sounded.
Full time: Deeping 1-2 Wisbech
Deeping Rangers U18s now go on their Christmas break and return in the new year when they travel to March Town United on Thursday the 9th of January.
